Sign Language, Aphasia, Brain Injury, Marcus Rosenberger. Marcus’ drawing of his hand saying I love you…

Marcus’ drawing of his hand saying I love you…

Marcus sent me this drawing and I thought it was kinda of neat, but I had no clue what  it meant.  I thought, I had seen other people do this hand signal, but to tell you the truth, I didn’t pay attention as I didn’t want to appear stupid not knowing what it meant. What did it mean? “It means I Love You”.

The brain injured also use signing due to the difficulty of using words.

First I looked up the peace hand signal. It was two fingers on the hand that were made into a “V”.

Then I looked up “thank you”.

Next I looked up ” I love you” and it was the hand signal in Marcus drawing. See Marcus’ drawing below.

Where did I look them up? Under google images of course. Where else would I go?  I am a Google and Bing person and  YouTube has great video resources for learning just about anything.

Seriously though, at first I had no idea, but when in doubt, check Google. It normally  does the trick when you need to know something.

For a guy who couldn’t draw, I think he did pretty good, but I am prejudice.

About Vickie

My son was called a real estate savant in Federal Court. I am the mother of Marcus Rosenberger, a brain injured/damaged son, whom I am totally committed to bringing justice to his life. He was vulnerable and taken advantage of by two unscrupulous men. Each day I work to free my son and to tell his story. My heart is broken and so is his. So I write to let the world know about the injustices of the world, about head injuries, prison, aphasia, and all the things my son has had to deal with besides the devastating brain injury he suffered. I want people who suffer the same things and or injustices to know they are not alone and not to give up hope as our loved ones need our strength and support. People need knowledge and my goal is to give them that along with humor, stories, photos, and art. Hope, Health, and Happiness, Vickie
